The Meaning of Life: The Case for Abolishing Life Sentences by Ashley Nellis, Marc Mauer

4.0

I read this book for a class about criminal justice policy reform, and it has significantly impacted my opinions about sentencing. The authors challenge you to consider alternatives to the death penalty and life sentencing. They speak about the power of hope and reconciliation. I believe every person is redeemable, and this book was eye opening for me about how detrimental life sentences are for anyone.
