can’t say i have too much of a strong opinion on this. it was definitely not as poorly written as some of the other splatterpunk shit i’ve read. i do enjoy reading something that’s so clearly a product of a time before mine.

i don’t really have any criticism that’s not gonna make me look like a white saviour, but genuinely the only part of this book that made me uncomfortable was how the author talked about the characters that were poc.

remember that community quote that goes “i can excuse racism but i draw the line at animal cruelty”? that, except it’s “i can excuse murder, but i draw the line at racism”
