Siege of Rage and Ruin by Django Wexler

5.0

This finale felt like one large epic showdown. All the players were in place and it was time for the last conflicts and battles to be wrapped up. The story moved at a brisk pace, yet there were still plenty of moments for the characters to process and adapt to their situations.

Isoka was all but untouchable and while I would have liked to see her in more dangerous situations, i still rooted for her to survive. Her companions were quite entertaining, especially Jack, and there was still a sense of tension when it came to rescuing her sister. Tori herself had an interesting story where she met and clashed with new characters, and grappled with her incredible powers.

The whole series takes place in a truly unique world with amazing powers and I would have loved to explore it more. The action scenes were clearly described and exciting, and I felt the words became a movie I could watch in my head. A definite recommend for fantasy fans looking for an escapist adventure on a ghost ship!
