The Book of Bart by Ryan Hill

3.0

I liked this book; it's got laughs, mystery, action and I enjoyed the ride.

This is an enjoyable "comedy buddy movie" sort of book; the chuckles are more from mildly sarcastic humour rather than edgy, our hero Bart is all talk & no trousers (he's supposed to be millennia old, one of the original Fallen angels but he gets beaten up - a lot!), the good are pure white, the bad are blackest evil, the demon killer Templar Knight is a liability and the mystery as to who's after the Shard of Gabriel is fairly predictable, however, we all need a light, no-brainer reprieve from the heavy stuff every once and a while and this is the perfect fix.
Enjoy!
