I was given a copy of this book, free. All opinions are my own.

The final book did not disappoint. Everything led to this moment, this confrontation with the kind. And man did Evie soar in this book! The long game she had been playing with Maeven, discovering what kind of queen she wanted to be, learning and accepting all of the aspects of her magic. Don't get me wrong -Evie was great at defending herself and her friends. But - for me- the best part was when she decided to stop playing everyone else's games and forced them to play hers. One of the things that I appreciate the most about Evie was that she was never above risking herself in any of the plots that she orchestrated. She never overplayed her abilities or downplayed the risks. Her eyes were wide open.
