I picked this book up at the library, looking for a quick read. Contrary to a lot of reviews for this book that I have seen, I quite liked the use of verse. It might have hindered the storytelling at times, but it made the read much more interesting for me. I enjoyed the voice and tone used by Addie.
The reason I gave this book 3 stars is due to the rushed nature of the entire plot in my opinion. At the end of the book, I was left feeling unsatisfied and honestly unsure of what had happened in the final pages. Although I did personally enjoy the use of verse, I felt that the book altogether could have been worded in a less ambiguous way.
