These books are like history lessons with a side of romance story thrown in. It takes me forever to read a Highland Guard book because I'm constantly turning to Wikipedia to see what the castles mentioned look like, to read up on the history of the person the author has based her character upon, to see who wins an upcoming battle, etc. I just love this series!
