Snake Skin by C.J. Lyons

3.0

Solid police procedural book with a characters who come off as a real people. I'm not in love with any of the characters, but that could change if I read more of the series. The smart law enforcement woman trying to balance work and family has been done before, and done better, but this was pretty good.

The one thing that I didn't particularly care for was the fact that the reporter woman is the stereotypical attention-seeking promiscuous, designer-clothing type who women love to hate. While I'm glad that there were an equal number of men and women in the this book, it seems like Lyons may have been projecting some of her bitterness towards other women in her characters.
