Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

What a trip (no pun intended… or was it?). HST managed to make this tale of drugs and the distorted reality of the American dream in the 60s/70s so vivid in the mind of a modern day girl who has never touched psychedelics in her life. Of course, with such a short time frame in the narrative there were moments that fell flat—reminding me a lot of Catcher in the Rye, in that way. However, the fun, the thrill… It kept me engaged even at low points.
