So many swoony moments! While this is a stand alone, there are some interconnecting characters from a few other books by this author. The Crow brothers get mentioned, as well as Ethan Everett, so it's really a family affair. :) Meeting in a pub, there was an instant attraction, unfortunately, it was never meant to be more. Being with him will cause her to lose everything. Being without her, he already lost everything. This book is about fighting for love, no matter the consequences. It's also about choosing between happiness and duty. As I mentioned... Hutton is the ideal book boyfriend. His love for this woman is unstoppable. He won't let laws stop him, he definitely won't let her stop him. These characters are perfect for each other, and they are well defined and are virtually perfect. She has many hurdles to overcome in her life, and he has one large hurdle... her parents. While there are some steamy scenes (and those scenes play a big part in those hurdles she has,) this isn't what I would refer to as a 'smut' read...though due to the sexual content it does have, and the language, it is suitable for mature readers. It's well, and beautifully written. It's easy to read as well. So, if you are looking for your next book boyfriend, look no further. Hutton is here. If you are looking for a love story meant for the history books, look no further. ;)
