Yagi the Bookshop Goat by Fumi Furukawa
4.0

Thank you to Netgalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book is absurdly adorable, and sweet enough to give you a toothache. From the premise, I was hooked: A goat boy who wants to work in a bookstore but can't resist eating all the books! The art is very cute and I enjoyed all the character designs with basic animal traits. (Ears on a bear, horns on a goat, feathers on an owl, etc.) The plot and character development never really go beyond the surface level, but I found that I didn't mind very much. I was content to be wrapped up in a fluffy, stress free world of cute animal people. I'd happily read an entire series about Yagi, or at least set in the same universe.
