Lady of the Shades by Darren Shan

Decent stand alone horror/thriller from Darren Shan, who on this occasion has branched into more adult literature rather than his normal teen, although the difference is not great.
Nice twists and a good resolution make this a good read.
Despite the genre not being one of my favourites around Shan continues to impress.
