Life & Limb is the second book in the Bodyguard Series by a favourite author – and its about two military veterans, whose paths cross in the most innocent way possible!

Willa, works at a Veteran Shelter with Rosie (whom we met in [b:Hit & Run|52332437|Hit & Run (PASS, #1)|Freya Barker|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1566585667l/52332437._SX50_SY75_.jpg|71850252] – Read My Review) – an independent veteran herself; she has kept herself away from commitments – with the example she had of the way her mother and her sister ended up becoming an extension of their husbands; she has been wary of losing her own identity in a relationship. So she keeps herself happy and content with her own career.

Dimas’s reputation took a hit in the first book and to be very honest, he doesn’t really do well in the first 30% of the book either – however, as you progress with the book; you start to understand that beneath his charming exterior is a man who is kind, caring and absolutely wonderfully amazing when it came to the people whom he cares about.

I loved the chemistry and connection between Willa and Dimas – they were both independent individuals; but they had enough maturity to handle their own issues and anxieties – give me good communication between two partners -and it gets my engines revving *wink*

Add in to the fact that there is an underground ring targeting veterans at Willa’s shelter as well as familial issues with her sister and niece (also there be puppies!!!) – this one not only made for an intriguing read but also for an emotional read as well. I am looking forward to seeing how and where the series goes next!
