The Lives of Enoch Powell by Patrick Cosgrave

4.0

Cosgrave's chapter on Powell's involvement in Northern Irish politics ('The Ulsterman') is quite indigestible, but the rest of the book makes for great biographical reading. To only remember Enoch Powell by the Rivers of Blood speech is to do yourself an injustice, as he really was one of the most fascinating figures in British political history.
