Anna Karenina, Zweiter Band by Leo Tolstoy

4.0

I first started reading this in my final year of high school and then slowly picked at it over the coming years. I'm in my third year of university now and have finally finished this classic. I definitely got more out of it this year than when I first started it, and had much more appreciation for Tolstoy's writing. However, I also realized how irrational Anna was and by her final scene I couldn't take her seriously. I thought this was still an interesting book and loved all the different subplots, but be aware that it's kind of like eating an elephant.
