I absolutely appreciate Ann Martin's writing. I checked to see if she had help with this one and I saw the mention on one of the earlier pages.
This book was difficult to read as I am black but I have not experienced racism so much as other black people in the more developed countries like America. I felt the issue was handled fairly and with sensitivity and the resolution made sense. Bigotry is a mentality that cannot be controlled but we can control our reaction to it and move on with our lives with more resolve to live despite the colour of our skin. Our skin is not our fault. We were all made by the same God.

Thank you for this one, Ann.
