Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer

Ok so I went on a bit of migraine fueled weekend where I got caught up in a Twilight movie marathon. I was just sick enough that the horribleness was muted and the nostalgia was strong enough to keep me watching. However, I missed the first movie--and I thought, "Maybe I should read the first one.." And then I thought, "wait this is the perfect opportunity to read Midnight Sun."

Sooo, I did. And the verdict is that Edward was telling the truth. All of those times when he would waffle on about how he was a monster and Bella shouldn't love him, I always thought he was a bit melodramatic and putting Bella and his family through considerable trouble because he just can't get over himself. Turns out, Edward is worse than I thought--more of a monster--but also better because he is not only being melodramatic.

In the end, still #TeamJacob. If only Edward could have stayed away!! And if only Bella were not so infatuated. Also Edward is a stalker--but Bella seems to want him to stalk her. Bella is just not a good role model for teen girls.

Hopefully, I never, never read this again and relapse into this silliness.
