Grunge by John Ringo, Larry Correia

5.0

Like most series books, I enjoyed this one so much more the 2nd time. In the age of the perpetually offended, Chad is definitely not the character for them. Personally, I love Chad. The bulk of my childhood/young adult life was spent in the 80's/early 90's. Era appropriate pop culture references make my heart smile.

I also like the fact that Chad works for MHI, but has his own philosophies and codes he lives by. The touches of politics that aren't in the core Hunter books gives an interesting glimpse into the world outside of hunting. Getting to see the Nelson's in their prime is awesome. I also like that the book is mainly about the hunts ... and Pro-Tips :) The ending though, man ...

I'm happy Larry was willing to let Ringo play in his sandbox.
