Thank you to UQP for sending a free review copy. In no particular way does this influence my opinion.
This book came to me at the perfect time. It was the story I didn’t know I was looking for. Showed up at my door one day, didn’t know what it was about, thought I’ll have a quick read of the first chapter to get a feel and oh what a lie that was. I just devoured this within a day, I couldn’t put it down.

I’m really unsure how to word this review other than wanting to take people by their shoulders and scream “READ THIS BOOK PLEASE!”
It follows themes surrounding relationships between parents, parental figures and friends and romantic interests. We discuss themes surrounding homeless and that home isn’t a house you live in but but somewhere you feel happy and safe. We see a stark difference between Sophie and Issac’s parents. We get to watch Isaac and Sophie’s relationship develop featuring themes of courage and kindness
There is some mention of domestic violence, just to aware of you feel comfortable with reading the topics
Minor: Domestic abuse
