A Murder at Rosamund's Gate by Susanna Calkins

3.0

A quick, enjoyable mystery set against an unusual backdrop - 1660s London, with Pepys,
Spoilerthe plague, and the Great Fire
. However, the characters didn't really feel historical - Lucy in particular just felt very generic sleuthing-intelligent-young-woman-in-petticoats - and some of the relationships between various characters and social strata felt off, although for all I know they weren't. (I don't know much about the period.) I enjoyed reading it but don't feel a particular need to read the sequels.
