His name is Bud, not Buddy! I loved going on the adventures with Bud to find his dad while also seeing the hardships that were faced by most people during the Great Depression, especially in Black communities.  This was a social commentary overall but also just a look into the mind of a little Black boy trying to get through life with so much love in his heart

Bud finding his grandfather instead of his dad surprised me and I’m happy how the story came together in the end
