Someone to Wed by Mary Balogh

3.0

I'm not sure quite what happened in the middle of this book, but I went from being very engaged by the plot, characters and writing to nearly doing a DNF. The writing near the end felt stilted, too formal even for the regency, and I wanted a bit more background information on the hero and heroine, ESPECIALLY the hero. I wanted to know more about him, what made him tick, just how he'd changed with his change of fortune (or whether in fact he had changed). Alexander's family members got a bit confusing after a while, and Wren and her brother's relationship progressed a bit too quickly to be believable.
