Parable of the Talents by Octavia E. Butler

Did not finish book. Stopped at 30%.

I hate to say it, but I just really don't vibe with Octavia Butler's style. Boring prose is one thing, but add flat characters and a slow plot on top, and the Earthseed duology is just a non-starter for me. I was really excited to read what I'd been told was one of the best dystopian stories ever, but I just don't see what everyone else does.
