Son of a Trickster by Eden Robinson

4.0

Son of a Trickster took me for a bit of a wild ride. What I observed as I got to know the main character was just how many opportunities this kid had to turn bad. Whether from parents who were struggling on their own, from bullying at school, or from constant substance use, Jared was dealt a tough hand. But the inherent goodness in him shone through and this just showed to me the natural born strength some people have to carry them through tough circumstances. This made him admirable and made me root for him.
