Seeing Red by Sandra Brown

3.0

Typical Sandra Brown thriller - sexy woman meets tough guy. They instantly have sparks, but something prevents them from being together, e.g. stubbornness, pride. This novel is about a reporter, Kerra Bailey (sexy woman), trying for an interview with Major Franklin Trapper. He continually denies her requests, so she tries to get through to The Major via his son, John Trapper (tough guy). It seems that The Major rescued Kerra from a hotel bombing 25 years earlier, and she plans to disclose that during the interview. However, after the interview is over, someone tries to kill both Kerra and The Major. There is a complicated backstory on how this attempt is tied to the bombing of the hotel all those years ago.
I am getting weary of the same basic storyline from these novels.
