Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird by Harold Bloom

5.0

At the beginning this book seemed like a children's story. Something like Astrid Lindgren could've written (which is a good thing - I love Astrid Lindgren). But I knew what was supposed to happen even though the tone and style of the book didn't seem, I don't know, like the sort of way one would speak about such difficult matters. But in the end, I think, it was all perfect. Seeing the world and people and everything through Scout's eyes was wonderful (and painful).
