The Courtship of Miles Standish by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

fast-paced

3.75

It certainly reads like something written nearly 200 years ago now, but some of the passages are very relatable to a modern reader; Priscilla's monologue on how a man thinks he can have whatever he wants from a woman without her opinion resonates still (unfortunately). A very quick, historical read with lovely verse.
