Life of Melody by Mari Costa

This book is pretty enjoyable, but that doesn't mean it's flawless. If you just want some quality junk food then yes this will probably satisfy you. I believe being enjoyable shouldn't automatically make a good comic. However as a fledgling comic artist, I respect the accomplishment of this being a published web comic.

Art: The colors are quite gorgeous. The panels are easy on the eyes. The style's cute I guess, it's not my cup of tea, it has a bit of a webtoon feel. It feels a bit too simple. Backgrounds are pretty good. The art all gives a warm feel, despite it's simplicity.

Character: The characters are quite meh. Razzmatazz and Bon at least have actual character and aren't blank slates. Which in a romance is a blessing. Raz feels a bit tropey, kinda like a younger artist's OC.
He comes off as a bit unlikeable, and his arc I wasn't too fond of. I feel like his arc kinda reflects the meh of the comic. Bon is better, probably because he's nicer than Raz lol. Kinda your standard bear. So basically the characters just feel cookie cutter. I can tell these characters are likely dear to the author though.

Story: It's fluff really. I wasn't too fond of the semi-enemies to lovers. And the romance isn't too convincing. It was too focused on developing an alright relationship rather than the title-character Melody. It's enjoyable as mentioned earlier, but it's mostly just turn your brain off fun. You're not going to come out of this awestrucken. It's just forgettable. I've seen some single volume comics that made me just go wow, this is just eh.
