Prince: The Last Interview: And Other Conversations by Prince

5.0

This is a collection of Prince interviews from the late 1970's, when he was still in high school, right up to right before his untimely death. Like the artist himself, the interviews are elusive, frustrating, hilarious, and thought-provoking. You get the feeling that he is uncomfortable with the whole process, and interviewers struggle to get any sort of answers from him at times. But occasionally he does open up and offer some intriguing insights and observations. Overall, it gives the sense that Prince was a one-of-a-kind talent, who simply loved to play music and was truly thankful that others wanted to hear what he had to offer.
