Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo

Honestly I was contemplating giving it four stars then I realized it didn’t deserve it.
I felt the ending was kinda lackluster?? I understand that getting Alina to just stab the Darkling could possibly show that not all deaths are like massive and extravagant, but it felt weird. They’d spent three books trying and failing to kill the Darkling in wild, spectacular ways and in the end he dies from a stab wound? It didn’t feel right. Kind of like Tris in Divergent. It just felt... too easy. Too simple. Too normal for such a seemingly indestructible character such as the Darkling.
