For Now by Eileen Myles

funny hopeful informative inspiring fast-paced

5.0

There is a dedication to truth (of the moment) evident in Myles’ writing style, often expressed fast paced as thought, no space for reader distrust. Excite preserved. The language of Eileen will amend later.

In For Now, Myles speaks of commonality. Remembering. We are all born artists, childhood a kingdom of art, puppetry and play. Real as true. Brought together with lessons of conviction in early adulthood, the written word the ‘eventual visible element’ of active inner voice. Our endless arrival.

This confessional lends to the accessibility of the practice, attentions to something we are already, have always been doing. Validation a gift from a poet so personally revered.
