I immensely enjoyed reading this poetry collection. The author has such a beautiful way with words, and reading them made me feel so calm. Also, I thought this poetry collection was very unique. Nowadays modern poetry tends to look very much alike (in my opinion). From the four parts this book was divided in: love thoughts, hope thoughts, self thoughts and meditation thoughts, I think my favorite was the self thoughts part.
The only thing that I did not really like in this collection, was the fact that there was a lot of repetition throughout the book with certain words and similes. I found that for example “green emerald eyes” and “luminescence” were repeated often in various poems. I would have liked this book of poems even better if the author had used a larger variety of words and similes. Lastly, only the poems in the love thoughts part had titles and I thought it was a pity that the poems in the other 3 parts didn’t have titles as well. Still, I really enjoyed this book of poems. 3 stars! :)
