Avengers by Jason Aaron Vol. 1: The Final Host by Jason Aaron

3.0

2.5 but rounded up. The not-quite-Avengers gather together to stop something so ancient and powerful it has killed the cosmic Celestials and is dropping their giant corpses on Earth. Unfortunately, giving heroes large stakes doesn't work to make the story narratively compelling beyond some mecha/kaiju fights.

Loki here is one-note as a villain and his great revelation that humanity is a natural evolving counter measure for giant space bugs (no, sadly not cooler than it sounds) is...lacking in motive. So humanity is a mistake and, what? Space bugs are the superior natural order? You killed the Eternals off page for this?

As a crossover where the entire issue is full of punching, it's perfectly serviceable. But there have been much better Avengers runs for characterization and plot. At least new Ghost Rider Robbie is given something to do.
