Freedom Is a Constant Struggle: Ferguson, Palestine, and the Foundations of a Movement by Angela Y. Davis

challenging hopeful informative reflective medium-paced

I began listening to this audiobook (read by the author) after seeing her speak. This was the first book I have read by her, and I thought the collection of speeches and essays with a common thread was interesting. The author is clearly so intelligent and has a wealth of knowledge. The next time I read one of her books, however, I think I would like it to be more cohesive piece so I can really follow her train of thought and make sure I really understand all that she is discussing. I would recommend for anyone wanting to hear perspectives on the interconnectedness of struggles for freedom around the world.
