Ok, all this sword BS with InuYasha has been the worst part of the story. It's only now that
Kikyo is dead
that Kagome get's any kind of arc to get stronger. Although I suppose if more time was spent on her getting stronger the story would be a lot shorter. 

I have the final volume ready to start, this grievance aside, I have really enjoyed reading this series this year. The manga is a lot more fast paced, less filler. I've been very slowly buying copies of this series, and I hope to own the rest.
