Sun & Steel by Yukio Mishima

3.0

“It was this danger more than anything else that delighted me.”

A brilliant read - A wacky, insane, knowledgeable insight into Mishima’s hopes, dreams, expectations and grasping ideas surrounding life, death and growth. To be one of his very last works, it’s definitely something. It has a very ominous feel, yet it doesn’t feel like some kind of suicide note. In fact, it’s more than that, way bigger than what it is.

Mishima is probably one of the coolest and most brilliant writers out there. Quite an amazing novel.

And ending the novel with Icarus? Wow

I may have to reread once i’ve delved into some of his other works.
