Love Redesigned
by Lauren Asher
3⭐️
"His selfless, understated kind of love is the one I spent years searching for but never found—until now."
lauren is quite literally the only writer that can make me enjoy a book that is written in present tense
i felt like it went by really fast and i can't decide if that's a good thing or not but that's honestly a me thing so! also THE DREAMLAND BILLIONAIRE CHARACTERS CAMEOS!!!! probably one of my favorite things about this book like that's my family i love them and i would read 56 more books about them
now onto the actual main characters of the book, they're lovely i just feel like i couldn't connect with them? still, loved their story and it was really cute to see the whole frenemies to lovers thing. i loved how julian would literally do anything for dahlia:
“So, feel free to say no, but I have this crazy request—”
“Done.”
like yes exactly that's how all men should act
(this next point might just be, again, a me thing because i'm a native spanish speaker) i kiiiind of have this feeling that the spanish in the book could've been better, like yes it was technically correct but no one that speaks spanish says "te amo tambien" instead of "tambien te amo" or "yo tambien te amo" like i've never heard anyone say "te amo tambien"
that aside, really cute romcom i would recommend this to pretty much everyone!! also loved that it was set around the holidays very fitting for the release date
if i had to predict the next two books:
• rafa and ellie
• lorenzo and lily (soooooo seated)
