i mean, it’s maus. what am i supposed to say. i’m just some random guy. i guess i’ll note that i picked it up because i’m fascinated by the idea of the graphic memoir and the representation of trauma/fragmented life experience through a medium that is literally fragmented (panels) (yes i just reread fun home for the fourth fucking time). this book is probably the prime example of that. it’s famous for a reason. it’s harrowing. it’s ruthlessly honest. it’s maus! i’ve finally read maus.
