There'll Be Peace When You Are Done: Actors and Fans Celebrate the Legacy of Supernatural by Lynn S. Zubernis

3.0

Negatives first: I was expecting a little more stuff directly about the show content/behind the scenes stuff, and I would've liked to have seen that. The book mentions the crew a thousand times and it would've been new and interesting to hear that POV. Some of the essays just seemed to say the same thing over and over again... & I love Jared but I'm glad he's an actor and not a writer.

Positives: I was surprised at how some of the essays did a deep dive into the shows cultural merits. For example, the way it was able to adapt from a show that fridged female characters and had no shot at passing the bechdel test to having some great examples of modern feminism. Over 15 seasons the show changed a ton, and not only did plotlines get better, it's messages got better. Exploring how supernatural was able to achieve this in a world of media that often fails was super super cool
