The Fashion Disaster that Changed my Life by Lauren Myracle

4.0

I read this book when I was in middle school and I remember I liked it back then. Re-reading it in college, I obviously didn't relate much to the 7th grade narrator. However, I enjoyed the diary format of it a lot and appreciated how accurately it captured the insecure voice of a middle school girl (especially the parts about the pore-shrinking nose strips. It reminded me a bit of Mean Girls, if it were set in middle school. I'd recommend this book to middle school girls.
