This was rather... underwhelming. The intrigue was rather lack luster. The only interesting character was the "bad guy" and that was just to see his decent into madness. The Assassin while being "badass" also acted liking a wilting flower the whole time. And the revolutionist was underwhelming.

That might have been the point, but it didn't make for a very interesting read. The middle had enough intrigue for me to give this a three, and I did like the Director's rise and plot progression, but the other two made the end of the book a bit of a slog to get through.
