This was a short story that introduces the reader to the Were-Hunter universe, which in turn is a spin off of Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark-Hunter universe. This story is interesting enough, but it is overshadowed by the fact that it sets up Were-Hunter history. This overshadowing makes it difficult for me to connect with the characters in the story, as I had been able to do with previous Dark-Hunter books. It's entertaining enough, but only really fits in the larger -Hunter universe, and is not good as a standalone book.
