The  first time I read this it was for review. This time I picked it up because I want to continue on with the series, but couldn't remember everything that happened. I don't remember what I thought the first time around, and I am too lazy to go look it up. But this time? I really enjoyed it.  I liked Ash as a a character, her love for all things Sherlock Holmes makes me want to go read those mysteries. As far as this book, it is a solid beginning to the series. The original case of what is happening to the kids has been answered. But what Ash is and what happened to her is only slowly being uncovered. I am interested to see what happens with her  and the relationships/friendships she began in this one.
