Great book. Wish the dialogue of the black characters weren't so blatantly stereotypical. It sounded like they wanted the black characters to sound like they were from the 70's and 80's. There was an overuse of slang language to sound "hip" and "relevant" and to make sure the readers knew the characters were black. As if all black people speak like that. It was off putting.
Graphic: Violence, Gun violence, Racial slurs, Racism, and Toxic relationship
Moderate: Mass/school shootings, Classism, Cursing, Police brutality, Stalking, Alcohol, Hate crime, Abandonment, Violence, and Panic attacks/disorders
Minor: Adult/minor relationship, Bullying, Fire/Fire injury, and Blood
