Captain Underpants and the Invasion of the Incredibly Naughty Cafeteria Ladies from Outer Space (and the Subsequent Assault of the Equally Evil Lunchroom Zombie Nerds) by Dav Pilkey

Our duo is back for a new adventure! This time featuring aliens, evil lunch ladies, zombie nerds, and of course Captain Underpants!
So, I was at a book store last Saturday when, while walking through the second-hand section, I came across this book and 2 of his friends. Of course I had to bring them with me, I always wanted to continue reading this series, but always forgot to buy them from Amazon.
Our duo (George and Harold) love pranking/making jokes about people. They either do this in real life or they write comics about it. Often I am not all too happy when pranks/jokes go far, but with George and Harold? I just couldn't be mad at them. Maybe it helps that they do try to save the world when that situation arises + quite often their pranks/jokes are funny and people seem to like it (well, OK, the children like it, the adults don't, but that is generally how it goes). Though I have to say the comic about the lunch ladies went a bit too far, at least for me.
I have to say I loved their prank with the exploding cupcake mix (though do I want to know why the mix was green?). How those lunch ladies didn't notice the ingredients were a bit strange... oh well, if the food is really that terrible, I guess they wouldn't know a fake recipe from a real one.
The book is filled with several comics (which I loved, it made the book even more fun to read), and also 2 flip-o-rama. I still love those flip-o-rama's, it works so much better to flip through it, see the action happen, then that they would have written/drawn it out in a comic.
The aliens (Zorx, Klax, and Jennifer (yes, Jennifer)) were great villains, their plans were pretty great, though of course they are no match for Harold and George and Captain Underpants. But I still had a big laugh at the names of the juices (Super Evil Rapid Growth juice), though I loved that they also had milk, just milk, in their refrigerator.
Captain Underpants was a bit so-so in this one, mostly to do with several things (which I can't tell because it would spoil things). Though I have to say he regained his awesomeness near the end again.
There is also some fourth wall breaking, which I just love. More books should do that.
The art is still perfect, it just fits so well with the series. A bit silly, a bit weird. :P
Also plus points to the amazing title!
All in all, I would recommend this book, and I will be reading the other books I have soon!
