X-Force, Vol. 1: Dirty/Tricks by Simon Spurrier

2.0

This book tried very hard to be clever. And in the end it was just stupid and irritating. And very hard to read. Yes I get that we had an unreliable narrator or three. And maybe we were told the answers in the end. By then it didn't matter, I didn't care. The art was actually okay, which is unusual for a Cable book. And the writing looked pretty good on the surface. But the perfectly reasonable sentences and paragraphs were meaningless from page to page. Presumably because the writers wanted to disguise the plot and in the end whatever meaning was supposed to be there just bounced off my brain. yuck.
