This felt like a book version of Inside Out with a very concrete application of how people (especially children) move through grief of a loved one (pet included). I particularly included how the story was told from Luna's “brain characters” directing her dreams, memories, and nightmares. This was a warm, enjoyable book that made me hug my pets a little bit harder and longer.

It WILL make you teary eyed, guaranteed.
