Extremity Volume 2: Warrior by Daniel Warren Johnson

4.0

This part of the story was not as depressing as the last one in my opinion, and definitely more action-packed in which sci-fi and post-apocalyptic elements of the story work the best.

I really enjoy the art style of the comic. It is detailed enough without feeling overstuffed and excellent reflecting of facial expressions works great especially in the more silent moments. Last time I feel that inspired by comic book art was after Scott Pilgrim.

The only issue that I can think of about this story that it`s feels somewhat rushed. Every issue reads too quickly so overall pacing is not the strongest part of Extremity. Also this comic feels like it just ends too abruptly.

Extremity is a dark, bleak and violent story that deals with very mature themes in a wise way but still doesn`t provide clear answers, proofing its maturity. Complicated problems cannot have a simple solution and this one is not an exception. This is a thought-provoking and emotional tale of revenge and ways of dealing with your loss and forgiveness that definitely deserves all its praise. It`s probably not the best comic of all times but it`s close to it and absolutely worth a shot.
