This was a decent enough transition between plot lines.

I felt like we got a lot of insight i to the characters and their flaws/weaknesses while also observing their strengths. And I’m a big fan of “the goofy character is succeeding at mundane task” thing this volume had going. I also liked the extra world building it added in with Mal and Molly’s plot with the bear woman and the extra details she added to the world.

I also liked the art styles and how they reflected the characters when telling scary stories. That was a nice extra little treat.

This volume just didn’t feel as strong as the other two and was a little boring at times. It wasn’t bad, just not as good at keeping me engaged. Which I’m willing to chalk up to it being a transitionary volume.

Overall, good read!
