Not sure I understand some of the more negative reviews regarding the story being split between a few characters rather than just the main protagonist in the first book. This gave me a bit of trepidation before I started the book. i need not have worried. The story telling was again brilliantly compelling, I enjoyed all story lines and quite simply loved every word of the book.
Anthony Ryan is quite simply a fabulous writer and great story teller, I was so disappointed when the book ended and am just hoping his new publishers don't carry on the delaying tactics when publishing the next in the series.
